A continuous slide from one pitch to another. On the piano, this is usually done by dragging a fingernail (or thumb) across the white keys.
- The Savvy Take: If you are sliding up, use the nail of your middle finger (supported by the thumb). If you are sliding down, use the nail of your thumb. Never use the skin or pads of your fingers unless you want a blister!
