Polyphony

Music with two or more independent melodic parts sounding together (e.g., a Bach Fugue).

Playing polyphony requires “splitting your brain.” You can’t just hear the top line. You need to hear the Alto line and the Bass line as if they are two different people singing. Practice each voice separately until you can sing one while playing the other.
